Former American Ballet Theater Ballerina, Marie-France Lévesque “On Pointe At 50 and Beyond”
LOS ANGELES/ THOUSAND OAKS (April 11, 2013) – A dance performance and preview is planned for this Sunday, April 14 by renowned dance artist and former American Ballet Theater Ballerina, Marie-France Lévesque with distinguished Star Guest Artists and ensemble from her Los Angeles Dance Company, this Sunday, April 14, 3:15 PM at Dance Arts Academy, 731 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036.“Fifty can be the new 30!  I am directing and producing an inspirational dance performance and starting a new dance company. This production is all about inspiring people 50 and over to stay young, to take charge of their health and keep pursuing their dreams and their aspirations even after 50 years old, it’s not over. 50 is the new 30,” says Ms. Lévesque.The main performance is scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the beautiful Scherr Forum Theater of the Thousand Oaks Civic Auditorium.

According to Ms. Levesque, the performance will be a mix of some of the classical ballet repertoire pas-de-deux with many new neo-classical and contemporary pieces along with some tango works on pointe. The first act will be more of the classical and neo-classical repertoire. The first part of the second act will have neo-classical, contemporary and ballroom pieces with a French theme and the second part, with a Latin flair. Adding to the high level of the professional dancers used, including former American Ballet Theatre ballerina, Marie-France Levesque, there are potential guest-star artists such as Karina Smirnoff from “Dancing with the Stars”, Elizabeth Howard “Miss Senior California 2012 and Miss Senior America 2012” singing Opera & others.

“On Pointe at 50 and beyond!” presents former American Ballet Theater Ballerina, Marie-France Lévesque with distinguished Star Guest Artists and ensemble from her Los Angeles Dance Company.

Purpose
Just turning 50, Marie-France Lévesque returns to the stage and on pointe after a serious car accident stopped her dance career 14 years ago. This inspiring and motivational ballet, contemporary & music performance is sure to surprise, delight and empower people of all ages to believe they can re-invent their lives and careers, overcome adversity and pursue their dreams and passions even after 50 and keep everyone “on pointe” with themselves in their life.

• Choreographies by Former ABT dancers Craig Williams, Lorin Johnson and Marie-France Lévesque, Former San Francisco Ballet Principal dancer Mark Lopes, Former Paris Opera Principal dancer Patrick Frantz.
• Featuring special guest artists, Opera Singer and “Ms. Senior California and America 2012” Elizabeth Howard, and Grammy nominated composer and world-renowned Latin piano virtuoso, Freddie Ravel, among others.
